The Island of 1 flame shows disused cars, which the local motorcyclists purchase cheaply and drive to the wasteland. They set it on fire and watch as a group in a meditative act. The motorcyclists told the artist, "In a burning car the windowglass does not explode and shatter like in films, but instead melts slowly from the heat." The artist searched inside the burnt car carcases and discovered the molten windowglass lumps, corroborating the motorcyclists' story. She showed these glass lumps in the Industrial Alchemy work.
